Capt. Jeff Rogers - Kona, Hawaii

I've been using Mark's ceramic trolling lures for over 4 years now. Like any lure you choose to put in your pattern, it's first a matter of personal preference and confidence. If you don't like the looks of a lure or don't think it's such a good choice to run, you won't put it out and that in itself will confirm that it doesn't catch any fish. Mark sent me a bunch of lure heads to test that I was able to let other Kona captains pick some to try also. A mix of reports came back from the other captains and some test lures were even lost when big fish broke them off. As for myself, I kept the ones that I thought looked the best and always run at least one ceramic in my pattern. Some of Mark's lures turned out to be the hottest in the pattern even though I had my old reliable resin lures out there also. As happens with all hot lures eventually, the best ones are being sported as lip ring jewelry by big fish that got away. I've done the research. Mark's ceramic heads catch fish and with an almost endless number of colors and finishes available, pick your colors and troll them with confidence.
