I have tried many lures and tried many methods of plugging but I have never had as much action as I have ever since using Mark White's lures. I came upon an ad for Mark's lure in the October's edition of Hawaii Fishing News and since living on the same island as Mark, I decided to give them a shot. Mark has a large variety of plugs for you to choose from whether it be colors or size, he has them ready for you. I have tried white, black, green, and blue and all have been getting a lot of action and it has been a lot more fun for me while fishing with his lures. The lure that I have had the most success with has been the white model with a dressed treble hook. The white papio just love this color and they just go crazy. On October 30th, I went to one of my usual spots to do some plugging and it was around 7:00 to 7:30 a.m., and within that time span I got three strikes all on the white lure. I was able to land a 2 pounder and a 6 pounder, while losing another just before bringing it closer to the rocks. It was the first time I have had that much action with a plug and the first time I have caught a papio over 5 lbs using plugs. Not only do they work, they withstand constant bagging on the rocks. No matter how much I bang them against the rocks, they never scratch, crack or lose their shape. These lures are truely amazing.
